Albany Elementary Giving Campaign

Dear Ocean View School Parents,

We are excited to announce that our children have the opportunity to have enrichment programs during the school day. These programs include visual and performing arts, music, strategy games, and poetry. Children enjoy these programs and greatly benefit from them as well. However, with continued budget cuts coming from the state, we know that our school district simply cannot provide them. It’s up to us.

We are pleased to announce that the Cornell, Marin, and Ocean View PTAs are working together to launch the Albany Elementary Giving Campaign. The aim of this inaugural campaign is to raise funds to support our traditional enrichment programs. The goal is to fundraise together, while individual schools decide which programs they want. This campaign is now the only vehicle for supporting these programs in our schools this year and beyond.

By working across the three schools, we not only increase our strength as our children’s advocates, but we continue to develop the cohesiveness and uniqueness of our Albany community. These programs can only be offered if all of us—Albany elementary school families—join together and commit to financially supporting them.

Please make a donation in any amount that feels personally significant to you and your family. Every gift counts, small and large! Also, please take into consideration the number of elementary-aged children in your family. Make checks payable to “Albany Elementary Giving Campaign” and drop off in the school office. Please hurry—the campaign ends Friday, October 28!

Please see the “Frequently Asked Questions” on the back. For further questions, contact Ocean View PTA President june.mcdaniels@oceanview-pta.org and Vice President katie.karaca@oceanview-pta.org

We appreciate and thank all of our elementary school families for your never-ending support. We look forward to an exciting new school year!

Very Sincerely,

Cornell, Marin, and Ocean View PTAs
